FLOROMA OLD AGED HOME
Floroma Old Aged Home is situated at 1 Berlandina street on the western side of Roodepoort CBD. It is a private Home wich was established in 1953.
The Home offers affordable accommodation to 66 Frail older persons who need 24 hour nursing care, and 70 healthy independent persons in Cottages.
It is the policy of this Home not to discriminate against any person or race, income, religion or any other ground.
Various community organisations are supporting the Home by the way of donations, help with maintenance, entertainment ect. Fundraising is done on a continuous basis by a Fundraising Committee. The proceeds of fundraising is utilised to keep the board as affordable as possible.
The Home is registered as a Non-Profitable Organisation under the Non Profit Organisations Act 1997 (00-001NPO) and receives a limited Government subsidy.
Fund Raising Appeal
A Management Committee exists of members of the community and representatives of various community organisations, and reserves as the governing body of the Home.
